Rules

Carp Fishing in France always comes with some rules. They are in place firstly to protect the carp, but also to help all anglers have a first class carp fishing in France holiday.

Management will not accept any responsibility for any accident or loss.  Any one who is in contravention of the rules may be given a warning, or asked to leave depending on the circumstances.

The Fishing

  • Maximum 3 rods per angler.

Minimum line breaking strain of 15lbs.

All leads to be used on a safety clip drop-off system. No lead systems to be used where the lead drops on every fish.

No lead core or braided main line.

Min of 500mm of rig tube must be used - no leaders, Zig Rigs or The Magic Twig are allowed.

No shelf life boilies, (shelf life pop-ups allowed on the hair). No home-made bait. No bait to be air-dried prior to arrival and must arrive frozen or semi-frozen sealed in the original manufacturers packaging. No artificial bait (eg plastic corn).

42″ minimum landing nets. Cradles required - no unhooking mats. For weighing, a weigh sling must be used.

No peanuts or tigernuts, or any other type of nut to be used at all.

BARBLESS HOOKS ONLY. Sizes 4, 6 or 8.

Rods are never to be left unattended.

All fish must be handled with the utmost care. They must typically only be photographed in the kneeling position just above the cradle and weighed in a sling.

Fish are to be returned to the lake as soon as possible to decrease their stress level, which in turn will enhance your carp fishing in France.

Medicare kits must be carried and used on the hook holes.
